A small beta. Clear boundaries.
What we collect
Your invited email, company if provided, acknowledgement timestamp, followed counties, feedback, page views, citation clicks and searches. PostHog records usage and session replay after acknowledgement. Inputs and page text are masked in replay. Search terms and submitted feedback are stored separately and linked to your account.
Why we collect it
To operate invite-only access, understand which research is useful, investigate errors and improve the product. We do not sell beta usage data. Email digests and marketing automation are off.
Who processes it
When configured, Supabase stores account and application data, Vercel hosts the app, and PostHog US cloud processes usage and masked replay. Testers sign in with their invited email alone, with no password or emailed link; anyone who enters that email can open the account. The operator account signs in with an emailed link. Access is restricted to the beta operator and necessary service providers.
Public records and private residents
Research profiles public officials and organisations. Private residents appear only in aggregates. Raw public files are held in a private processing cache. We do not join private social groups. Please do not submit private resident details in searches or feedback.
Retention and control
Proposed beta retention: account, feedback and server usage data for the beta plus 90 days, session replay for at most 30 days. These settings must be configured and a deletion process tested before launch. You may stop using the beta or ask the person who invited you for an export or deletion. Previously submitted research corrections may be retained without your identity.
Research limitations
Coverage starts in Colorado. Unverified and inferred findings are clearly labelled. Records may be incomplete, delayed or contradictory. Verify important facts in the original record and obtain appropriate professional advice.
